Mobile Communication Policy

1. Scope 

This policy explains how CampLife LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you interact with us by SMS/text message, phone call, or other mobile communications.

 

2. Information We Collect 

Contact information: mobile phone number. 

Message content: SMS/text content you send to us and messages we send to you. 

Usage data: timestamps, message delivery/read status, call logs (date/time, duration), and device metadata (carrier, device type, language). 

Optional: any personal information you provide in messages (e.g., name, booking details, payment info).

 

3. Purposes for Use 

We use mobile information to: 

Send transactional messages (confirmations, receipts, reminders, account notices). 

Send marketing and promotional messages if you opt in. 

Provide customer support and respond to inquiries. 

Monitor and improve service quality, troubleshoot issues, and detect fraud or abuse. 

Comply with legal obligations.

 

4. Consent and Opt‑Out 

By providing your phone number or replying affirmatively to an opt‑in request, you consent to receive messages from CampLife LLC. 

To stop receiving marketing messages, reply STOP to any message, or follow the opt‑out instructions in the message. You may still receive non‑marketing transactional messages after opting out.

5. Message Frequency and Carrier Fees 

Message frequency varies by service. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Contact your carrier for details.

 

6. Sharing, Third Parties, and Messaging Providers 

We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. 

We may share mobile information with service providers who assist with messaging, call handling, analytics, payment processing, and fraud prevention, under confidentiality agreements. 

We integrate directly with Twilio to send and receive SMS and to manage delivery and status information. Twilio acts as our service provider and processes your mobile information on our behalf in accordance with their privacy and security practices. 

We will not sell your phone number. We may disclose information to comply with legal process or to protect rights and safety.

 

7. Data Security and Retention 

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect mobile information. 

We retain mobile communications and related data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Retention periods vary by data type; contact us for specifics.

 

8. International Transfers 

If data is transferred outside your country (including transfers to Twilio or other providers), we will protect it in accordance with applicable law and this policy.

 

9. Children 

Our mobile services are not intended for children under 14 (or higher minimum age as required by local law). We do not knowingly collect mobile information from children under 14 without parental consent.

 

10. Changes to This Policy 

We may update this policy. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. Continued use of our mobile services after changes constitutes acceptance.
